Here are the leaders at TTI:
Linda A. Austin
President and CEO
Linda A. Austin , President and CEO of TTI, provides focus
and direction to the Company and its employees. She also heads
up the areas of finance, human resources and information technology within
the company.
Ms. Austin graduated with highest honors from Rutgers University with a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Accounting. While at Rutgers, she won the Manieri award
for being the outstanding accounting graduate at University College. She was
also awarded the Elijah Watt Sells certificate for performance with high distinction
on the Universal Certified Public Accountant Examination. She ranked nationally
in the Top 125 of 67,000 candidates, and statewide in the Top 2.
After college, she began her career at Dynaco Corporation as an accounting
manager. From there she went to TeleSciences, Inc. as the director of Corporate
Accounting, and in 1987 she joined TTI.
Ms. Austin is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Joseph B. Connell
Vice President, Special Projects
After spending twenty four years as President and CEO of TTI, Joseph
B. Connell is concentrating on special projects and acting in an
advisory capacity to the President and to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Connell is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Rhode Island,
and holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University.
He began his career at Bell Telephone Laboratories and AT&T, where he worked
on the development of the world’s first stored program switching system.
He spent 15 years at Bell, eventually rising to Director of Local Switching
Systems Planning.
From there, Mr. Connell moved on to TeleSciences, Inc.—a producer of
measurement equipment for the telephone industry—where he would become
Senior VP of Marketing and Sales. While there, he traveled worldwide, developing
an international market for the company’s products.
Rocco Gangemi
Vice President, Operations
Rocco Gangemi , Vice President of Operations, is in
charge of repair operations, third-party logistics and test engineering.
With 35 years experience in repair and repair management, Mr. Gangemi has
been with TTI for 17 years. Before that, he was employed at the RCA Service
Company. This mainframe computer firm was eventually purchased by Sperry, which
renamed it Unisys. His tenure under the various company names was 18 years.
Mr. Gangemi attended the University of Maryland and Hiram Scott College in
Scottsbluff, Nebraska, as well as the RCA Technical Institute, where he studied
Computer Systems Technology.
“There are a lot of challenges to this job,” said Gangemi. “Most
of the equipment we repair doesn’t come with documentation, so we back
engineer. What makes this job so interesting is that everything we do is based
on solving a puzzle.”
Joseph M. Sokalski, CQA, CQE
Vice President, Quality Assurance
Joseph M. Sokalski, CQA, CQE, Vice President of Quality
Assurance, is responsible for developing, implementing, communicating and
maintaining the company’s quality systems and policies in compliance with ISO
9001:2000 quality system requirements. His department is also involved in
customer service, relying on direct analysis,
resolution and communication with the customer.
Mr. Sokalski has over 20 years experience in implementing and maintaining
Mil-Spec and ISO quality systems in both the Electronics and Transformer industries.
He has also provided the same services on a consulting basis.
With a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Mr. Sokalski was awarded
his Certified Quality Auditor designation in 1997 and his Certified Quality
Engineer designation in 1999. He is an associate member of the American Society
for Quality (ASQ) and IPC.
Martin Walsh
Vice President, Business Development
Marty Walsh is the Vice President of Business Development, after serving a 19
year tenure with Test Tech's Manufacturing Services Division.
Marty primary goal is finding new opportunities for TTI.
Marty graduated from Susquehanna University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Business Marketing & Management. After graduation he worked for
three years as a Sales Rep for Bright Star Industries, a division of Kidde
Corp.
Prior to joining TTI in 1987, he served as a Sales Engineer for Amp Inc.
Marty started as a Sales Manager in 1987 and has held both sales and
operating positions, including President of the Manufacturing Services Division.
Mr. Walsh is a member of the Surface Mount Technology Association, The Institute
of Printed Circuits, and the Midlantic Employers Association. In addition to
his participation in these professional associations, he is very active in
his town's athletic association as a coach, commissioner, and fund raiser.
He is most gratified by "the sense of achievement that comes with growing
a company from the ground up, and building long lasting relationships with
TTI's customers and coworkers".
